JAMES
MUST HAVE
BEEN A FARMER

by David Herder

The great evangelist C.H. Spurgeon said this about the Book of James: "Whatever the statement of James may be, it could never be possible that the Holy Spirit would say one thing in the Book of James, and another in the Book of Galatians. Statements of Paul and of James must be reconciled. If they were not, I would be prepared sooner to throw overboard the statements of James than those of Paul. I would sooner throw over James than Paul for this reason – because we must keep to the Master himself; we must keep to the Lord Jesus Christ."
